It has been far too long since either Wayne or I have had the chance to update. All of my time right now is spent being wholly overwhelmed by work and classes and reading. Oh Student Affairs... as if it's possible to have work/life balance while in grad school. :)

I have been trying to spend time with the people that I love and have a little down time, though. It's my pathetic attempt at balance. This past weekend I managed to take one full day away to spend in Orlando for JoAnne's bachelorette party. I missed a whole day of Epcot debauchery, which I'm desolate over because the stories and scars are amazing.

"JoAnne is getting married and FSU is WINNING"

I personally feel like the first part was the coolest. I'm so stoked for college football season and this was a terrific way to kick it off! We ended up at this great bar that FSU fans flock to in Orlando. It was like being in Tallahassee for an away game! Oh how I love chanting F-L-O-R-I-D-A S-T-A-T-E with a large group!

"Florida State Fans are the prettiest!"

"They even made us delicious Garnet and Gold shots (which tasted like pineapple upside down cake)."

"I know it's hard to see because 1. my cell phone camera isn't great and 2. it's hard to believe, but this is a gorgeous gator lady drinking out of an FSU cup in an FSU bar. See? Love conquers all."

"Although it was kind of weird that this was hanging over her..."

Of course FSU kicked Louisiana - Monroe's butt with a 34-0 victory, but that was to be expected. It's getting late and I need to get back to reading for my Student Development Theory class, but I hope to have some more pictures of my gorgeous friends out in their fancy black dresses tomorrow. I have to keep all of this together in one spot for us, for when Facebook inevitably crashes and steals all of our memories. We've got to be able to look back at how hot we were "way back then" somehow!
