Happy Thanksgiving
Live | View Comments | permalinkWe are continuously reminded of how lucky we are. We have amazing friends, fantastic family, a beautiful home. We are surrounded by love, pretty much constantly. We are so thankful.
The table set and ready for us!
And then full of food.
Wayne making his famous macaroni and cheese.
And one of my responsibilities was mashed potatoes.
I missed my family but this weeklong break was much needed. And today was full of good food and laziness, exactly how our forefathers did it. Minus the smallpox. ;)

If only everything could be this easy.
Gainesville started getting cold, then warm, then cold, then warm. We like it cold.
The garden is getting so huge!
Wayne as Roger Rabbit.
The huge flag raised at the All American Liberty Fest.
From our walk yesterday.
Free gift for Kate (Wayne's mama) with the purchase of our delicious chinese food last night. She's pretty stoked

Gardening
Live | View Comments | permalink"Everything that slows us down and forces patience, everything that sets us back into the slow circles of nature, is a help. Gardening is an instrument of grace."
I have a new love.
"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul."
It's only been mine for less than a week and already it's grown.
"If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need."
My little plant babies are standing taller already and reaching up towards the sun.
"Weather means more when you have a garden. There's nothing like listening to a shower and thinking how it is soaking in around your green beans. "
I'm pretty much in love. Come January I'll have broccoli and cauliflower and carrots and onions and mustard greens and lettuces (butter and speckled and red) and bok choy. That makes me so ridiculously happy.

Trips Down South
Live | View Comments | permalinkA few fabulous memories from recent trips to South Florida...
Amazing dinner at a fabulous french restaurant called La Cigale. Miami friends, you HAVE to check this place out.
Also, please try to look at least this attractive when you go. It's imperative.
Everytime we go to South Florida Wayne gets something added to his tattoo. It will never be finished.
That's ok, because our tattoo artist is super hawt and totally awesome. Who wouldn't want an excuse to chill with her?
While there we discussed the future colors of my sweet lady peacock tattoo. This is the color scheme.
Group shot outside of Sweet Tomatoes. Mama, little sister, little sister's lovah. (My family is so blonde!)
It's important that you know that my little sister vomited up her entire lunch right after this picture because I said the word vomit in casual conversation. Weak stomach much?
